CEO

Georgia H. Foley has been STAFDA's CEO since January 2000. Her duties include association management, overseeing all member programs, government relations, finance, & communications. She joined STAFDA in 1994 as member services director & was promoted to assistant executive director in June 1998. Prior to joining STAFDA, she was the executive director of the Exhibit Designers & Producers Association (EDPA) for 7 years. In addition to her STAFDA responsibilities, Georgia currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Small Business Legislative Council (SBLC), a Washington DC based lobbying organization.  She recently completed a three year term on the Customer Advisory Board for the San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau.  She’s also active in the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM).  Georgia holds a B.A. from Marquette University, Milwaukee, WI.

Accountant

Carla Otterson, STAFDA Accountant

Carla Otterson is the newest member of the STAFDA team and joins the office full time as our accountant. She has a particular interest in initiating process and procedural improvements to support company goals.  Her specialties are Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Month-End Closing, Invoicing, Customer Relations, Sage 100/MAS 90 and 200/Sage CRM.  Carla also has experience with employee and business insurance, payroll processing, and vendor relations. She’s used to a small office environment having served in an accounting position with a high-end food distributor and for a combustion systems manufacturer. Carla joined STAFDA on March 29, 2017.

Administrative Manager

Caroline Roberts, Administrative Manager of STAFDA

Caroline Roberts joined STAFDA on July 5, 2017, as Administrative Manager. Although part-time, she’s well versed in our industry having previously served as the Project Manager of Exhibitions & Events for the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), the organization that produces CONEXPO-CON/AGG in Las Vegas every three years. Prior to that role with AEM, Caroline served as their event services manager, exhibits coordinator, and exhibit operations manager. She has a deep understanding of the construction industry and recognizes the overlap of several STAFDA/AEM members.

Member Services Director

Catherine User, Member Services Director of STAFDA Catherine P. Usher joined STAFDA in April 1999 as member services director. Her responsibilities include developing member services, communications, Convention registration, and meeting planning. Prior to STAFDA, she was director of seminars for Shoreland, Inc., a travel-medicine organization, and editor of their monthly newsletter. Cathy also worked for Kiwanis International as an editor and contributing writer of their international magazine. She is a magna cum laude journalism graduate of Ball State University, Muncie, IN.
