Kramer Darragh is President of Darragh Company, Little Rock, AR, a family-owned business founded by his grandfather in 1906. Kramer began working for the company in 1972 and has filled several positions within it prior to being elected president in 1987. Darragh Company has six branches in Arkansas and one in Texas where it sells concrete and highway construction accessories, waterproofing and masonry supplies, and erosion control systems. The company recently started a tool repair business to enhance tool and fastener sales. Kramer and his wife, Ida, have been married for 38 years and have one son (Ted who joined the company in 2004), two daughters, and three grandchildren. Darragh Company has been a STAFDA member since 1995.

Rick Lamb
Rick Lamb is the sales and marketing manager of Frank’s Supply, Albuquerque, NM. Frank’s sells, rents, and services professional-grade tooling, equipment, and supplies. They have five stores — four in New Mexico and one in Texas. Before joining the team at Frank’s, Rick was a sales rep for Ingersoll-Rand and then Stanley Proto Industrial Tools. He is currently on the Board of Directors of the Evergreen Marketing Group. Rick has two children and enjoys playing the guitar, skiing, and playing basketball. Frank’s Supply has been a STAFDA member since 1978.

Tom Gleason is president of family-owned and operated Electrical Fasteners Company (ELFCO), Mokena, IL. Established nearly 40 years ago by Jack Gleason, ELFCO strictly provided nuts and bolts, but today it has emerged as a partner with some of the largest commercial contractors in the Chicagoland area. Tom has been married to his wife, Kelly, for 24 years and they have four children. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys golfing and hunting. ELFCO joined STAFDA in 1992.

Rod Gowett is the president of Bay Tool & Supply, Milpitas, CA, with branches in San Francisco and Reno. He began his career in 1979 as an outside sales rep for Don Newcomb Tool, Santa Clara, CA, a former STAFDA member. In 1992, Gowett founded Bay Tool & Supply in San Jose, CA, catering to electrical & plumbing contractors. In 2003, he joined the Evergreen Marketing Group Board of Directors and became their Chairman in 2005. When not working, Gowett enjoys a variety of sports & working on his ranch with wife, Melinda, a& family. Bay Tool & Supply joined STAFDA in 1994.

Eric Grabowski joined EDGE Construction Supply (formerly Safway Supply), Spokane, WA, in 2006, and now serves as CEO. The company has eight locations in Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, & Wyoming and primarily serves the commercial construction market with a growing emphasis on the indust. & gov't markets. Eric is a graduate of the University of Southern California & the University of New Mexico with degrees in mechanical engineering. Eric & his wife, Kendra, have two sons & a daughter. He enjoys soccer, hiking, biking, & skiing. Eric is on the Evergreen Marketing Group board of directors. EDGE/Safway Supply joined STAFDA in 1978. |
Doug James is a partner of Lance Bissett Ltd. (LBL), Coquitlam, BC. This year, LBL celebrates 82 years servicing a broad base of customers in the construction, industrial, and resale market for tools and fasteners with five locations in British Columbia, and two in Alberta. LBL is also an authorized warranty service center for several major tool manufacturers. Doug joined the family business in 1971. Doug and his wife, Barb, have been married 42 years. He is an active member of their church, enjoys travel, and is an avid fly fisherman. Lance Bissett Ltd. joined STAFDA member in 1991.

Mike Kangas is President & General Manager of Alaska Industrial Hardware (AIH), an ESOP company based in Anchorage, with eight locations and 230 employees throughout the state. AIH celebrated their 50th anniversary in conjunction with the State of Alaska's 50th anniversary in 2009. AIH provides tools, hardware, and construction supplies to all communities throughout Alaska. Mike started with AIH in 1980 as Branch Manager and has held many positions in the company over the years. Mike and his wife of 30+ years, Theresa, have two children. He is an avid pilot and outdoorsman. AIH has been a STAFDA member since 1979.

Nils Lindbloom, President and co-founder of The Tool Shed, Greenville, SC. Nils went into the tool business after graduating with a BS in Business Administration from Valparaiso University. The Tool Shed is a retail-oriented specialty tool house serving the automotive, woodworking, and construction trades with a focus on the professional tool user. The business is steadily evolving to include more industrial market segments and institutional customers. Nils & his wife, Toni, have been married since 1982 & have two children, Kristin & Erik. He is an avid sports fan & enjoys golfing and fishing. The Tool Shed has been a member of STAFDA since 1987.

Pete Moses is president and CEO of Contractors & Industrial Supply (CIS), Roanoke, VA. He began his industry career in 1978. In 1992, he moved back to Virginia from North Carolina to be a partner in an existing distributorship, which he purchased in 1999 and became president. He changed the name to Contractor & Industrial Supply. CIS has three locations in Virginia and North Carolina and focuses on engineered systems for pipe hanging, along with fastening, cutting, drilling, and construction safety. Pete has two sons and two grandsons. He’s a college football fan, plays three instruments, and considers himself a semi-professional handwriting analyst. CIS joined STAFDA in 1986.

Richard Stelzer is the President & Owner of the Merlin Stelzer Sales Co., St. Louis, MO. Rick is a second-generation owner for this construction supply house that also provides rentals, repairs, & reforging services. They are also a concrete sawing & drilling contractor, a member of CSDA. Rick is a graduate of Missouri State University, after graduating he worked with Texas Instruments as a prod. mgr. on a laser missile project. He is active with the leadership of his church and his hobbies, which include sports, fishing, boating, golf, & time with his family. His wife, Sheila, works with the company, & they have 3 children & 3 grandchildren. Merlin Stelzer has been a member since 1978.

Steve Wichtowski is president of Cook Iron Store Co., Rochester, NY. Steve joined Cook Iron as sales manager in 1993. Cook Iron is a general line contractor and industrial distributor that recently expanded into the cut rag and First Aid businesses with acquisitions in 2008 and 2010. The company is celebrating its 104th anniversary in 2011. Steve and his wife, Lorraine, have been married 23 years and have two children. Steve is a Bible teacher for the Ontario County Jail, an avid cyclist, and past chairman of the Evergreen Marketing Group.
